Hakeem graduated from the Lagos State University where he studied law, and thereafter proceeded to the Nigerian Law School for the mandatory one year legal practice study before qualifying for enrollment as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Prior to joining Global-Lawyer as a Partner, Hakeem was a Senior Associate in the Property and Private Client team at the law firm of Animashaun, Animashaun & Associates where he handled a variety of briefs including numerous property acquisition matters, perfection of documents and mortgage related issues.
When he later completed his post graduate studies majoring in International Business Law, Hakeem was elevated to the position of assistant head in the company law/corporate services department where he specialized in corporate finance, capital markets, foreign investment law, and intellectual property issues.
He has participated in several conferences and seminars and has attended several short “Continuing Legal Education” courses both in Nigeria and abroad, including “The Hague Academy”, Holland, where he participated in the private international law program.
